vID
Custom scopes beyond default packages

Criminal checks tailored to your screening policy.

Standard and Plus cover identity, national, registry, and an optional 7-year county search. When a contract, statute, or licensing board requires something else — 10 years, fingerprints, every alias in every trace county — that is a custom integration.

Also called custom county scope, developed-name search, fingerprint-based criminal, bespoke court access.

How it runs on vID

  1. Identity verified
  2. Search runs
  3. Report returned

What it covers

  • Expanded or narrowed county lists: extra years, extra jurisdictions, hit-confirmation-only
  • Developed-name and maiden-name mandates the default package does not expand into
  • Fingerprint-based or state-mandated repository paths a name-based search cannot satisfy

The partner network is a court-access business: JDP does custom county, state, and federal scoping, 3rd Degree expands jurisdictions, NCSI runs multi-county searches off address history, and TazWorks reaches clerks without portals. We turn a written requirement into a package the network can run on an identity-verified candidate.

  • Court systems a network CRA already runs that we have not productized

What it doesn’t cover

  • Invent paths that do not exist; some records are not available for employment screening
  • Bypass FCRA process. Custom is still a consumer report when a CRA prepares it for an eligibility decision
  • Come at Standard pricing; court fees, fingerprint fees, and researcher time are real

Where the data comes from.

The same courts and repositories as the named products

Custom is usually a different scope of the same courts and repositories, not a different universe.

State fingerprint / repository channels

Where a statute or a licensing board requires them.

TazWorks and CRA researcher networks

For clerks that do not have a portal, or portals that do not have an API.

Why identity comes first.

The more counties and aliases you add, the more a bad name multiplies errors. We will not build a 14-county package on a typed string if we can help it.

How the network fulfills it.

With 28 CRAs, someone has usually already run it — healthcare credentialing, DOT, youth NGBs, tenant, and international police certificates are living products on partner price lists. Custom means we wire yours in, not start from a blank court map.

This is the wrong search if…

Standard or Plus already matches the requirement

Then do not custom-build it. Opinionated packages exist so you can start quickly.

You want a lower price, not a different search

Say that. Custom is for shape, not for haggling a $25 check.
