Fabricated and borrowed SSNs are a hiring-fraud problem, especially in high-volume staffing, and CBSV is the government check on the trio. It does not verify the person on camera — vID does — and it returns no address history, so use it when the number itself is the risk.

Why identity comes first.
CBSV checks the trio; vID checks the face. Together they cover a lookalike with a stolen genuine ID or a real face with a fabricated number. Fraud-heavy pipelines often want both.
